What is Orilissa (elagolix)?
Orilissa (elagolix) is a medicine for managing pain from endometriosis. It comes in tablets with 150 mg or 200 mg of elagolix.
How does Orilissa (elagolix) work?
Endometriosis is a painful disorder. It happens when the inner layer of the uterus grows in other places.
This tissue grows, thickens, breaks down, and bleeds with each menstrual cycle.
Elagolix in Orilissa works by blocking hormones that stimulate the ovaries. This lowers estrogen levels and stops menstruation.
